Hi, I am Sarah Wilcox MS RD LD.
Why am I qualified to guide you?
I could say my years of experience as a Clinical dietitian , and helping people fight diseases and mental blocks that prevent behavior change. I could also tell you that I am qualified because I have a Master's degree, License and Registration as a Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) which the state and country recognize as being the identifier of the most qualified people to give nutrition advice. The license and registration require continuous learning and staying in tune with new trends, as well as science based research to back my methods in order to maintain my status as a clinical provider.
I could say all of that, but the real reason I am a great guide is because, I want to help you get to your health goals and I am determined to find a way to make a plan that is sustainable and feasible for you. I focus on the whole of you, including why you eat what you eat, your preferences, your medical history, what causes stress, ways to cope with stress and an abundance of food choices. I focus on your overall well being, not just your food choices.
There are plenty of people who can claim they will provide you with weight loss and healthy eating, but how sustainable is the plan, how realistic is the goal?
The internet has a lot of information that is not based on science and a lot of people claiming to be experts without even education to back their methods. There are fads and scams, quick fixes and shame techniques at every corner. With so much information out there, it is important to have a guide to determine what is real and what is just smoke and mirrors.
